My father-in-law and I are very different people with a lot of things in common, one of them being the love of his daughter, my wife.
He was one of my favorite people I’ve ever met and I’m going to miss him something awful.
He was always teaching me something different and today I was with him as he drew his last breath. Today he reinforced that our reality can change so quickly and that our time here is very temporary, despite the plans we made and want.
I’m not going to be blogging today, I’m a bit too numb as nothing really seems very real or funny or amazing or particular exciting.
I know that is just part of grief and I know that is just part of being alive.
